Rules of the Tournament
DAY 1 – Modified Alternate Shot
Both players hit a tee shot and select the best one to play. From there, the other player hits for the team for the next shot and the team alternates until the hole is complete.
DAY 2 – Select Scramble
Each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The person whose shot was not taken picks up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected spot. The two players then play from that spot.
PLAY:
Each pair will be partnered with another pair in their flight
Each pair will be assigned a hole to start their game, shotgun start
Longest Drive will be on hole 18
Closest to the Pin will be one hole 3
Both pairs keep the score and compare after 18 holes
All 4 players sign the scorecard turned in
Hole 14 pay $20 to let Superman hit your drive, if not inside the 150 mark you can move to the 150 for next shot.
COURSE:
Par threes are cart path only, 3, 7, 11, and 17
Hole 6 – the cemetery is a free drop into the painted circle
Hole 7 – Drop zone is across water on the road-side of the green
Hole 13 – The ditch running across the fairway is a free drop on the tee side of ditch
Red Stakes - indicate a lateral hazard, which runs alongside or near the line of play. Players can drop their ball two club lengths from the entry point to the hazard, from the opposite side of the hazard, or behind the hazard in a straight line. Add a stroke.
White stakes – out-of-bounds – drop ball at closest playable lie no closer to hole. Add a stroke.
Local rules - Players may take free relief from roots, cart paths and flower beds without penalty. They can take the nearest point of relief plus one club length, but no closer to the hole.
Ground under repair – will be marked in white with GUR – free relief from affected area.
"IF IT COULD HAPPEN, IT WILL" THINGS:
Ball falls off tee – no penalty, re-tee ball
Player whiffs ball – penalty, add stroke
Ball sticks inside of any tree remove and drop, no penalty (doesn't include on-ground unplayable lie, which is a stroke to move)
Ball on sprinkler head - drop ball at closest playable lie no closer to hole
Ball behind a sprinkler head – you must play it where it lies
Unplayable lie – Player believes it is unplayable, they may move to spot in line of shot for a penalty stroke.
